An invitation from the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network
In 2021, St. Matthias received a grant to develop the southeast corner of the property into a contemplative gathering spot for the community. After lots of teamwork we have a labyrinth, bench, new picnic table, and most recently 'A Little Free Library!' (The Little Free Library was built and installed at the southeast corner by parishioner John Jordan, and painted by our own Reverend Colleen.) The grant that made these additions possible was organized by our friends at the 'Greater Victoria Placemaking Network' in collaboration with the City of Victoria. The Greater Victoria Placemaking Network folks have sent us a warm invitation to their annual general meeting (open to the public) taking place in the St. Matthias Hall tonight at 6pm. There will be pizza and lively discussion. They hope you can join them! See below for details. Jessie
