Joan Wilson returned to the St Matthias parish family in late 2017 after living and worshipping in the Okanagan for over 30 years. She serves in the parish as a Reader at Sunday services, as a member of the music committee, and on Parish Council as Rector’s Warden. She appreciates the community that gathers week by week and its diverse expressions of faith and welcome.
Now retired, Joan’s work life was full of parenting, tutoring, and latterly, tour coordinating for a small professional ballet company. She is mother of two wonderful adults and GrannyGranny for two lively young GrandBoys. She is a reader, knitter, rower, and, recently, is back adventuring on the pillion seat of a vintage motorcycle.
