Spiritual Direction with Kids

Vanessa Caruso (who you may have seen around the church as our Verger) received two grants to start a Spiritual Direction with Kids practice this year, thanks to the Anglican Foundation of Canada’s Say Yes! to Kids initiative, and The United Church of Canada’s Embracing the Spirit fund.

She writes " Now, I know what you’re thinking: what is spiritual direction with kids exactly?! Good question. Basically, it’s a space for taking kids - and their spiritual lives, insights, and wondering - seriously. The first step in this experiment will be letting people know what it is, and I’m working on videos, a website and brochure to do just that. In the meantime, if you know of any kids (your own or others) who might enjoy processing their lives in the presence of an unhurried, listening adult (for 45 minutes a month) - please let me know at directionwithvanessa@gmail.com and I’ll tell you more about it."
