I want to thank all of you for participating in our deeply meaningful journey through Holy Week. Our Easter Sunday celebration was particularly joyful and I would like to congratulate Ennis on her baptism, and to thank her partner Hannah for her loving support, and all of you at St. Matthias for welcoming her so enthusiastically. You really are a very special community. Special thanks also to all who helped to prepare the church for Easter Sunday with flowers etc.
Welcome back to John Jordan from his ministry in Rwanda and please take time to read about his work in this weeks bulletin and in the parish newsletter. Welcome back also to Jacqueline from her ministry in Guatemala. We look forward to learning more about her work there. Truly we are a parish “beyond walls”.
St. John the Divine is most appreciative of our contributions to their food bank. We are still collecting for them and I ask you to continue to be generous with your contributions. As well as non-perishable food items, toiletries such as toothpaste, soap and toothbrushes, and particularly adult diapers are urgently needed.
Every blessing as you continue to live into your calling as Easter people.
With love
Rev. Colleen
